Redesigning a website for a building contractor

This project involved the small business owner and business manager who were involved every step of the way. They were unhappy with the outdated look at feel of their old website and wanted to display the properties in a more visually appealing way.

The Problem: The current website uses outdated designs which don’t showcase the craftsmanship of the business. It is also difficult to navigate with no header, top navigation or footer. Additionally, the current owner is trying to sell the business and feels the current website devalues it. They also expressed the need to maintain the website themselves but have little to no expertise in this area.

The Solution: Moving the website from Wordpress (since they found it difficult to use) to Squarespace which they found to be more easily accessed. We added imagery throughout the site to showcase the beauty of the properties and a header an footer to improve navigability.
